Morgan Canada Corporation's Cold Star refrigerated bodies lead the industry in design and engineering. Choose a standard reefer, or customize your body with a wide range of options to satisfy your unique needs. Morgan's refrigerated bodies are designed to help you deliver fresh to frozen products – around the block or across the country! Home delivery, catering, floral, beverage, dairy, produce, meat, seafood, ice cream, and everything in-between – the list is long, and the choice is clear – NoBODY delivers like Morgan!
From your choice of body size and construction material, to flooring, lighting, bumpers and more, every Cold Star refrigerated body is designed to meet the unique needs of your business.
Aerodynamic front-end design, and a heavy-duty plastic dormer move air and water away from your refrigerated truck body, while folding steps and a strategically-positioned grab handle provide easy service-access to the refrigeration unit. Patented poly-tuff corners offer enhanced durability in areas that are often vulnerable to dents and dings that can allow air and water to infiltrate the cargo area.
Morgan's refrigerated body subframe delivers uncompromising strength. All-steel subframe components and 12-inch on-center support placement provide strength and durability where it's needed, while corrosion-resistant extruded steel 3" I-beam cross-members and 4" longrails reduce overall weight. Mylar tape applied between all steel subframe components and aluminum lower bottom rails helps to prevent corrosion.
Morgan's standard M-Guard undercoating provides an added layer of protection for your longrails and wheel pans. Choose our optional M-Guard full-body undercoating for even greater protection against the elements across the entire subframe.
Morgan also offers a variety of options, including rear view cameras, and custom lighting to enhance safety and accommodate your specific needs.
Morgan's refrigerated truck bodies employ a poured-in-place polyurethane foam process that ensures consistent density and insulation across the entire floor. Without seams or inconsistencies, opportunities for air and moisture to seep into the cargo area from below are virtually eliminated. Inside the cargo area, your choice of corrosion-resistant aluminum floor options makes it easy to manage water and condensate, while providing a degree of traction that supports easy movement.
Get better traction with improved movement in and out of your refrigerated body using our 5" structural bumper with pooched surface and closure plate. From Morgan's standard 5-inch structural bumper, to optional step, drop-step, intermediate step, and under-ride bumpers, walk ramps and liftgates at the rear OR side – you can be sure that easier movement is built-in!
Standard refrigerated truck body features such as Morgan's standard rear rollup door, and full-perimeter thermal breaks on all doors, help to mitigate passive heat transfer that can cause temperature fluctuations and negatively impact payload. Optional strip curtains slow temperature changes without impeding ingress and egress. And a variety of door sizes, configurations and placements facilitate easy access to products anywhere in the cargo area.
Morgan's Cold Star refrigerated truck body roof uses a single piece of .032" mm crowned aluminum sheeting to minimize seams where water tends to infiltrate. Three inches of poured-in-place insulation helps to mitigate passive heat transfer and maintain a consistent temperature across the refrigerated cargo area. A fiberglass interior liner is also durable, and easy to clean.
Visibility is enhanced with Morgan's range of LED lighting packages. Bright LED (FMVSS-compliant) lighting includes a dome-light with indicator-switch mounted in the cab, and exterior sealed clearance lights, corner cap, side top rail and rear header lights as standard on all Morgan refrigerated bodies. Custom lighting configurations are also available to increase visibility.
Regardless of the conditions OUTSIDE, Morgan's Refrigerated Bodies help maintain consistent temperature-control conditions INSIDE your cargo area by mitigating passive heat transfer. Four inches of urethane foam across the front and floor, and 3-inches at the sides and ceiling provide a significant barrier, regardless of whether you choose aluminum, Morganplate or FRP wall construction. And Morgan offers options for 4 and 5-inch insulation packages to help you overcome particularly challenging conditions.
Aluminum, Morganplate or Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood wall construction ensures solid choices when it comes to the functional qualities you prefer – AND the image you want your "Reefer", box, straight-truck or van to present! It's easy to see how Morgan earned its reputation for innovative design, quality construction and superior customer service! There's NoBODY Like Morgan!
Affordability and light weight are key considerations when it comes to selecting aluminum wall construction for your box, straight-truck or van body, because light weight adds up to reduced fuel consumption, and lower operating costs. But light weight doesn't mean compromised strength when you have Morgan ingenuity built-in!
Extruded aluminum top and bottom rails with 1 3/8" deep galvanized z-shaped steel vertical posts installed 16" on-center, provide superior structural support for your truck body and your payload. And the .040" aluminum skin exceeds industry standards. Aluminum is also corrosion-resistant, making it an excellent choice when it comes to protecting your cargo from the elements.
Morgan's smooth-wall aluminum reefer bodies deliver all of the benefits of aluminum wall construction - minus the vertical surface rivets. The smooth, clean skin provides an even more attractive advertising platform for your business.
Morganplate delivers a unique combination of strength and versatility for those who recognize the value in having your refrigerated truck body perform double-duty as both a delivery vehicle and an excellent marketing tool.
Composite construction consisting of two external skins thermally bonded to a high-density polyethylene core, makes Morganplate strong, durable, energy absorbent and impact resistant. Innovative design and quality construction help to protect your valuable cargo on the inside; while outside, Morganplate's clean, uninterrupted surface is a perfect canvas for custom-graphics.
Morgan's refrigerated body FRP panels include a 3/8" plywood core, entirely encased in polyester resin, reinforced with high-strength woven fiberglass. It's tough. It's durable. And it resists dents and scratches. The smooth body exterior surface is also a great place to display custom-graphics and promote your business. Morgan also offers custom paint and decal installation for added convenience.
